Any good brand name converter which will convert canadian appliances to Indain voltage? Is it better to buy it over there or can be bought here ,which place?

There's a place @ Steeles & Dufferin @ N-E corner asian grocery store. Hard to miss. I think it is called Sona 220 or Sony 220. There are various brands available there.
