Hi Friends,
My self and my family are credit card holders of PC FINANCIAL MASTERCARD, yesterday May 25th 09 i received a letter stating that my wifes has over used her credit card and her limit is only $ 4000 and she has a current balance of $28,493, I called PC Financial and they looked into her account and said everything is fine and to disregard the letter, but the letter had put me into a deep shock. Is there a way I can sue the bank (Pc Financial). If any of you know anything regarding or similar to this please do let me know.

Thank You friends.

Have you verified whether or not the letter is from PC Financial itself? May be check your a/c online or so? There are so many scams these days, I won't be surprised if that is a scam letter warranting you to fillout some form in response or so.

If it was PC's itself and you want to sue, what will you sue for?

It looks you are more interested in suing the bank rather than solving the problem. Even if this letter sent by mistake, you will have hard time to win the case.. So good luck with that.

If I would be in your situation, I would visit PC Financial kiosk with this letter, so that it can be sent to PC Financial by an authorize person for any necessary action. And I would ask them to send me a letter stating that my account is in good standing; bank is obliged to give this letter to you upon request.

Get your free credit report at Equifax.ca and check the status of account in credit report.

Hi friends,
Thanks for your replies.
PC has refused to issue any letter of denial , that they cannot issue such a letter.
I have cancelled the card but I am still not able to ignore this from my mind.
The idea of suing is just thrown in air, I only need taht they give me a clearance in B/W from the fictional debt.

If you already discussed this with a person higher than Customer Service Rep. Then I would suggest get the person's name and talk to one Lawyer and send them one legal notice to resolve the matter. Make sure to hand over this notice in person to a PC rep at their Pavilion. Further you can write one letter to CDIC as well.
