Gold business is very complicated and even jewelers won't tell us the truth and you'll never know if u are winning or loosing. I had a 18 carat gold set for 30 gms (3 tola) bought from US, when I went to the jeweler in India to sell it and buy a new design I was hoping to put more money as the gold in India is 22 carat but the jeweler gave me 5 tola (50 gms) set for 22 carat in exchange of my American set (no extra, nothing was charge and it was 20 gms higher). I could not understand it but feel that the gold which we buy in India in the name of 22 carat is not true and could be 10 carats worth only. Has anyone tried selling Indian 22 carat gold in North America, I'm sure NA Jewelers won't accept it.
