Hi
I am in dilemma and in debate with my self regarding whether to buy 5-6 years old semi in Brampton, Lakeland area for 300000 or to buy 20 / 25 years old house or little bit newer townhouse in Vaughan area for more or less the same price.
I have become more confused after reading Fraser institute report on Brampton high schools which mentions almost all the high schools in the Brampton area as mediocre compared to Vaughan / Richmond Hill area however at the same time buying an old house or living in twonhouse again has its own issues.
Regarding travelling to work I will be travelling more or less the same distance either from Brampton or from Vaughan.
This just an open debate and I am looking forward to everyone’s view point on this
Almost everyone might have been there.
The more you know, the more you think and more you get confused.
BTW, don't get too much into the school reports. Numbers could be misleading. One school might rate well in Maths and bad in language just coz of it's high ratio of desi students. Doesn't necessarily mean that the school is "bad" or "good". Besides this, the rating might (and they do) change over time.
Visit each city/neighbourhood at different times of different days. Forget that it's Brampton or Vaughan. Hear what you inner voice says. Go by your instincts. It's you and your family that will be living there. Follow your heart. Which area you feel more comfortable?
with regards to Brampton, I know one person who can help you and guide you in right way without selfish motive. He showed us and explained us real estate of toronto. He knows Brampton inside out. that is what I felt. His mobile no. 4162788443.
