Just curious. Do the Canadian immigration officers interrogate all visiting Moslems or with last name as Khan? So far I have not seen anyone being taken aside and interrogated in Montreal, Toronto or Ottawa.

Many other immigration agents informed the concerned immigration agent about SRK. Even after that this agent did not care.
My take on this is this whole issue is a PUBLICITY stunt for his new movie My Name is Khan.
The other thing is that nobody other than Obama has free movement in US airport.
Recently Gore was also pulled up and put through the tests.
The concept of VIP, VVIP, VVVIP exists in India and they think they are all above the law.
It is nice for a change that people like Mamooty, Kamalahasan, Amir Khan, Abdul Kalam and now SRK have their balloons deflated and brought to ground.
JaiHo to that particular immigration agent who should keep doing the same to all Indian VIPs and bring them back to earth.
Next time they should strip search all the Indian VIP's and take a picture and put it on the Youtube for others to see.
By the way whatever happened to the Rahul Gandhi case where he was caught with millions of dollars and cocaine in his bag and was bailed out by the Indian Consulate ?.

Opinions differ. That’s democracy. Remember Tim McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber? That was home grown terrorism. Did the US govt agencies start interrogating all the Americans with that last name? No, it would be nonsense. Same here. All with last name as Khan to be interrogated? Whether it’s SRK (I am no fan of his) or Dr. Kalam, it’s the stupidity and arrogance of the staff (with a high school education). “Doing their duty” is just a facade to escape the mistakes they do.

India reacts with outrage over SRK's detention
"It's such behaviour that fuels hatred and racism,'' it quotes actress Priyanka Chopra on her Twitter feed. "SRK's a world figure for God's sake. Get real!''

Publicity stunts n reactions like this surely does not help.

Mumbai Maazi Ladki ...
I guess the issue for SRK can be penned as follows:
My Name is Khan [how dare you call me in for questioning? ]

What is the mistake ? Questioning him ? or not realising that he is "SRK" ? And how did they escape? I do not see any escapism here.
