I have been offered an apartment for sale in Bangalore. The apartment building is considered a cooperative. I am not familiar with a cooperative. I know about apartment association.

I have been cautioned not to buy in a cooperative building as some of the papers such as sale deed of the apartment would be with the cooperative management and they can always play dirty. So I am in two minds.
