Hello guys,
I am planning to book flight to India. There is a good deal on American/Qatar airline via NewYork. But I feel there could be a problem. Between the arrival of flight from Toronto into JFK (Terminal 8) and flight to India (Terminal 4), we could have only 1 hr and 50 min. I was wondering if someone has experience of changing flights at JFK and if this is enough time to transit. Please suggest.

It may be too tight depending on...
1. Is your baggage checked in all the way to India from Toronto or do you have to check in at JFK?
2. How far is terminal 4 from 8? Depending on that, there might be a hefty walk or a shuttle ride. JFK terminals are sort of semi circular with each terminal sharing few airlines.
3. What is the minimum check in lead time for Qatar? And there might be a cut off time if the flight is overbooked. I've seen people standing in the line been told they can't be checked in since they arrived little too late.
