Hi every INDIAN,

I have very seriuosly gone thru the maximum part of the discussions/suggestions available on this site.

I am also willing to come there in Canada. I did my BA from Osmania University in 1995 (one sitting), PGDCA thru correpondence and MSc Computer Sc thru study centre (correspondence). I am doubtful to get points for education (may be maximum 12).

As seen in this site, HPN or Nimmagadda Consulting is offering no job at Rs 3 to 6 lacs. Similarly, another is offering at 2 lacs for arranging work permit but no job after landing.

Question arises that:
Can one get something to do for survival in first few months? (say $1000 per month)

Its quite easy to survive on a landed immigrant status. Jobs like delivery people, grocery cashiers etc .. any minimum pay job is good enough to survive.

Just do a self assessment on your eligiblity or even a consultant can do that for you and please apply on your own you can save quite a bit of money that way.

a intresting piece of fact
hi

guys who are in the rest of the world u can use this tool to acertain the expenses in canada .

use the purchasing power parity index (ppp)

u can get the ppp at this web site.
http://www3.who.int/whosis/cea/prices/ppp.cfm

so for example ppp for canada is 1.210

and india is 14.558

this means that when u spent RS 14.558 in india it is eqvivalent of spending $ 1.21 in canada even tough the exchange rate is around Rs 34 .

by that means if u'r salary in india is say RS 30000 in india u should be getting 2493.4743 to live an eqvivalent lifestyle and not $ 1000 around as the exchange rate would suggest.

the index use is real and based on the year 2000 .

please note - the tax factor is not considered here which is very important when immigrating to canada.

for ppp of other countries use the aforesaid weblink.

I have heard u say this before but for some reason I can't believe the lifestyle of a person earning 30,000 rupees in India is the same lifestyle as someone earning 2.500 dollars/month in Canada.

The life style of person earning $2500 in canada is higher than the one who is earning 30000 in india. keep in mind how u live in 30000 with ur family in india vs with ur family in canada while u r making $2500 in canada
