It is acceptable that we are accountable for every word we put out in the written form or in the spoken form in an open forum.
The White chief of staff used a word \"Retarded\" in some context and now he is being hounded by the GOP including Sarah Palin calling it derogatory and want him to step down. They want him to use the word mentally challenged or something similar to it.
Recently a malayalam actor of tamil origin called Jayaram made a jocular comment about a tamil lady (calling her black and fat)and now people have filed PIL against him about the choice of words and also want him to be arrested. How do you address a person who is black in color of Indian origin (you cannot use african Indian)and who is obese?.
On the other hand we have the University of Waterloo students who are failing in the English language as they are more into QWERTY SMS'ing using words like LOL, OMG and WTF.
If you use a word which has multiple interpretation you are being held responsible for the word without the situation under considertion, while you fail not knowing to spell or write the words still you are held accountable.
Where does it end and where do we start to be politically correct?.

\"Biggest Dick\" denied Saudi Arabia ambassador spot

Akbar Zeb can't catch a break. The Pakistani diplomat was recently turned down for accreditation to be his country's ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Although he has previously had high ranking job in Pakistan's diplomatic effort to Canada, there's a problem when he's in Arabic speaking countries. Neal Ungerleider from True/Slant explains it:
Akbar is a common Muslim name that translates to “the greatest” or “the biggest.” Zeb is a relatively common Urdu name (زب whose meaning in Arabic isn’t used in polite conversation. In other words, it’s a reference to the male genitals.
That’s right: In Arabic, Akbar Zeb is “the biggest dick.”
Of course, there is no official reason given for refusing his accreditation.
