Many people are working in India without work permit. For eg, people frm Bangladesh, Nepal. Even some of Item dancers, singer and some artist from neighbour countries are/were working without work permit. It was big issue so finally they asked many artists to get work visa in India.

OMG..... Canadian citizens of Indian Origin (if no PIO card) will need a Work visa to work in India or Cash jobs in India...

btw i did meet an Indo American (ex Desi shop owner from NJ) who was working in Mumbai as a Call center agent position and brought along his Spanish wife.
