After legal separation / divorce settlement is reached here in Canada can Canadian courts have jurisdiction over property in India.

A friend of mine is in the process of legally separating from her husband and all her assets / debts will be split here in Canada.If the wife has property in her name in India can the husband request the Indian property to be split as well in the Canadian court that will be issuing the divorce.

If you are Canadian Citizen then you have to disclose all the property and wealth from anywhere in the World.

Yes I agree with the above.Even for income tax purposes, income earned all over the world has to be disclosed. No confusion or even doubt at all!!
