is this possible?

Yes, its possible, you can sponsor them later.

I only wanted to add that its a very tough decision to live without husband and kids...that too alone in a new city, I'm sure you have given thoughts on it and have friends/family for support. You'll have to be autonomous and strong, All the best!

Hi all,
I am a new mwmber of canadiandesi.Me and my husband we are planing to go to canada on october. We went to canada on july2009 but we came back on october 2009 because we could not find a proper job. That time economic situation of north amaerica was bad too.My husband works in IT.So he is thinking may be on october the situation will improve more.I just want to know how is the IT job market in canada(toronto) now?I s it possible for him to get a interview call from india itself? Is it possible to conduct a telephonic interview to india? If anybody can help me please let me know.If he gets a job before the month of october sitting in india, we will go to toronto before october.
Please reply as soon as possible.

My only concern now is look for the suitable place.

Hello Atanu_uor

Welcome back to canada! As you know life is not a bed of roses nor finding a job (in your own feild)is a cake walk in canada.People with confidence and patience will surely be successful(here).Trying to find a perfect job in the first few months (after landing)that you land or trying to get a telephonic interview is a bad idea. You will have to give yourself time, may be like a year or so....if you do not find the right job even after using all resources provided for a new immigrants and if you are not happy changing your field then probably India is good for you if you are paid handsome.Anyways i m very optimistic if you put in sincere efforts to find a job you will very well get one in no time.Just don't loose ya patience. All the very best

cheers
prince

Even though IT job market is not bad.. they still ask for North America or Europe experience..

Basically in the IT industry people have to be creative in their job search, to the extent of lying if required to get ur first break in canada..
