Hi,
We did out landing in 2007 and returned within a month. Subsequently we re-entered in Canada in 2008 and returned back after a month. Now we have re-entered to Canada in 2010 permanently and are applying for CCTB.

My query relates to CCTB application form RC66SCH.
1) PART A : as we are considered as returning residents, which will be the
year that we became non-residents. i.e. 2007 or 2008?

2) PART D: is 2010 considered the tear we became residents?

Many thanks.

Part A RC 66 Schedule : The year you all entered which is 2007.
Part A Non Resident :...........................left........which is 2008.
Part A Entered to become Resident again...........which is 2010. NOW.

Part B Enter the year 2007

Part C You can only claim this CCTB after you land here and claim after RESIDING here in Canada.
PR in the YEAR 2007.
Protected per. None
TEMP RES. You all are not one.
Part D : Income for 2010
Income for 2009
Income for 2088
In part D above the first column to fill they say... from .........(the form)...

{"Enter the year that you became a resident of Canada. Also, enter your income and that of your spouse or common-law partner from January 1 to the date you both became residents in that year. If your spouse or common-law partner did not become a resident of Canada in this year, leave that Income box blank. You will need to report his or her income for this year on Form CTB9, Canada Child Tax Benefit – Statement of Income, early in the following year, when it is known."}

SINCE they know that you all are here now, (After landing here), they want you to fill in the Form CTB9... early in the FOLLOWING Year (2011) when your total income is known.

Freddie.
