I notice the Muslims in Canada are quite particular about getting Halaal meat. Also you find many restaurants and grocery stores boldly advertising halaal. Infact even you get Halaal Marshmallows (which do have meat products in them).

The thing I was curious about, is I don't remember seeing any Halaal signs in India (Delhi/Mumbai etc). Is it that the muslims from India are just not particular or stores don't find it necessary to advertise (it is understood).

In India, generally most of meats are halal. You will find contrary to that called Jhatka. Sikhs do not eat halal.

In Canada, Muslims are Super M especially people from India and Pakistan.

I know people from Middle east, they eat outside irrespective it is Halal or non-Halal. It is only M from South Asia, very particular about it.

In north India( delhi, Haryana, Punjab, HP) all meat shops are jhatka till the time it is written Halal. Not many halal meat shops are there. Easyday - sell only jhatka. Muslims dont eat jhatka meat. Even when you invite them at home and make meat they will not eat meat. Eggs , fish , veg they will have it.

I eat evrything. Does not matter halal or jhatka, meat is meat. By saying few works from qoran at the time of killing of animal will not matter much. But I feel jhatka is better way of killing the animal, you dont torture the animal and it is killed fastest.

I wonder if muslims eating beef burgers in Mc D, chicken at KFC care about meat not being halal or they are doing haram by oversight of that.

Over2canada, it is only a matter of time before there are sufficient # of muslim MC & KFC franchise owners. And when that happens they will excercise their influence over the owners of MC, KFC or TimHortons to offer Halal. The whole world is welcoming and catering to the Super 'M' religious fantasies.

I know at Domino close to my house is being owned by M. The guys working there are M as well. But they make peporoni pizzas. It is business at the end of day.

I do not know how one can differetiate between halal and non-halal (M calls it Haram)
