Hello
I have landed in Canada and was granted the PR status. I was waiting for my PR card but now I was informed that due to some specifications of the picture did not match they have returned my file and wants me to re submit the picutures as per requirements. I am applying for a Travel Document to enter Canada once again. As I am a PR of Canada but have not got a the PR card yet my question is if I can work in Canada once I re enter the place till I get the PR card. I presume there should not be a problem as legally I am allowed to work just that I have not received the PR card becoz of some reason. I am seeking an advise from an exppert like who can help me in deciding my future move. An urgent response will be appreciated.
Thanks and god bless

I believe you can work without your PR card. I think your SIN number has a way to reveal your status. And if they insist, show them the landing papers or the COPR.

Try to get SIN number with COPR/landing paper. If you can get the SIN then you can work.
You can begin work as long as you have applied for SIN Card.
However, in order to get paid, you have to provide the SIN# first.
SIN Card takes about 4 weeks, however, if you show proof of confirmed job while applying for SIN, they will expedite your SIN# processing.
You can call back in 1 weeks and they will give you the number.
Your card will arrive faster as well, maybe in about 2 weeks.
As for PR Card, you can start work as soon as you land.
PR Card is not a requirement for permanent residency.
