Wishing a Very happy new year to all of you.
i am software engineer having 4 years of exp. in Dot Net technology in india.
we(my husband, meand my daughter) landed up in canada in 0ct 2007 and did our pr card and sin card formalities. we came back to india after 10 days.
our sin card and pr card of my daughter is posted to our frinds address and a letter stating that mine and my husband photos are not as per required specifications so they want us in person for pr card.

so we have applied for travel document now this is valid for 2 june.
my question now if at this time we plan to go there for permanent becoz its recession going on everywhere and we are having good jobsin hand here in india.
is this is advisable opinion to go there at this point of time.

and if we dont go out prcard ship will expire/end.

and till what time we can be away from canada to get the citizenship as we landed there in oct 2007.

whats the market situation there?
how much canada is affected in comparison to india as india is not much affected.

kindly advice.
thanks & regards

Job market for IT is also not good currently.

No one has a crystal ball and predict about future of IT Job market particularly in a dynamic economy such as NA.

Keeping your permanent resident status
Your permanent resident status allows you to live in Canada, but there is also a time limit on how long you can live outside the country. To keep your status as a permanent resident, you must live in Canada for at least two years within a five-year period.

If you have a good job, hold on to that rather than taking risk and struggling in a place where no job is secured.

Hope this helps.

i am sorry as i post it as a new thread.

should we go only for applying the pr card for this time.
so is it advisable if we dont use the tavel document which is valid till 2nd june, this time and again apply for the travel doc sometime in dec ?
Might be upto that time there will some better market condition. i know this is not sure?

or
should we go only for applying the pr card and return back on our jobs here in india.

all seniors are requested to kindly suggest for the issue as now this is going on top of our heads.
As the economy is worsening and we are loosing our pr card status time limit.
what will be the best step for us

thanks & regards
