Hello, I am looking for a job in a donut store. I would like to work as a baker baking donuts etc. It is a job I am very interested in and if anyone has a position available in any donut store can you contact me at or if you know someone that has a donut shop that is looking to hire, please forward my information to him/her.
Thanks so much
Raj
Usually donuts are made in factories on conveyor lines. Typically these joints have slave labor. You need to work at extremely high temperatures at minimum wage and also not expect any over time.
There is this Italian place near mavis and eglinton where they make you slog at minimum wage. They do not pay you overtime and work time start keeps changing everyday. You will be expected to work near the furnace of the donut conveyor machine and many a time you get yourself burnt.
There is this Jewish donut factory near etobicoke whose warehouse got burnt down last year and the story is the same. You will not be able to survive in these joints as the typical labor force for these are different.
The typical labor force for these are illegals or people who work on cash as they want to avail of all governmental support.
The most astonishing stuff is that none of these people ever complain.

Sunny Leone a true Canadian DESI now back in India !.
Have you tried Tim Hortons? They bake right in the store. Most baking happens during the graveyard shift.
Vandemataram: did this happen to you? I hope you reported it to the WCB.

Why donut factory? People are health conscious nowadays and because of high cholestorel, high fat, high sugar donuts are not much sold in market.
I remember a very famous brand Krispy Creams was closed and other so many donut factories are closed.
I would not want to work in a donut factory, rather in a donut stores like the Tim Hortons or any other store that may not be a franchise, like a local mom and pop store.
Reason I want to work is simple. I dont know what it takes to run a successful donut shop and I want to work and gain the expertise and then set up my own shop. Now obviously if I tell this to the place I want to get a job in, they wont even let me in, thinking that I will open a store right across their shop.
So if you have someone that you know or someone in your network that I can get in touch with that would be great.
I will NOT open a store in Canada. I intend to open it in USA. So there is the reason.
Thanks everyone for the replies.
