I would like to warn all people about *** towing service in Mississauga and Brampton. Tow operator *** is a total crook. Unfortunately I happen to use his service at the scene of accident and he tried to swindle me. Make sure to learn about city rates of towing to not to be fooled by him. He uses 'by law' key word in every other sentence but it's all lie.he has no clue about the law and city rates. I've to get his act straight by threatening him to take him to police and filing a complaint against him.

Don't ever use his service if you don't want to get rip off.

Are you referring to one particular Towing CO. or in general to all Tow trucks

OP used the name of a particular Towing Co and also included its operator/owner's name. Admin took off/censored both names.

All the more reason to have a CAA subscription.
On more occasions than one, I have personally experienced that just one call during a year pays for a regular yearly CAA membership, and makes it worthwhile.

You can find the city laws on Mississauga and Brampton city sites....
I've lodged a complaint against that towing operator and will follow up.....

To be safe and pre-prepared always keep a good local tow operator number handy and also number of your preferred body shop in case you don't have full/comprehensive insurance coverage and happen to be involved in an accident...

I'd put the name of the guy and towing company in my earlier post to make people aware but i guess since mod can not confirm the genuineness of any feedback so they have deleted it.....

Towing is not a good experience in Toronto as well, I thing they are same as everywhere. Once you required thier service they can rip you off as much as they can. Specially when any accident happens, they prey innocent and unexperienced people by advising wrong info, suggesting & offering unneccessory services and later ask for maximum amount of service charges.

If it is a break down situation, pull your vehicle a safe side and be smart driver, listen them but make your own decision. Just tell them your vehicle will be towed by your work shop's reffered towing service for $40. If the tow operator agree to provide service at $40 Max $45 will be Ok otherwise you will wait. THEN THEY CAN NOT MAKE YOU FOOL.
