I never used bus for going downtown but I guess it will take maximum 40 minutes.

I am not living in Bayshore area but I had noticed there are lot people from middle east. There used to many Desis (especially from TCS and Wipro) but no more after Nortel shutdown.

Minto is best company with good apartments. They have apartments all over Ottawa. In Bayshore area, they have 7 to 8 buildings and townhomes for rent. Also, Minto recreation center is in bayshore area.

This place will be good if you have plan to work in Kanata by bus.

Closest to Downtown Ottawa can be also Riverside Drive area (close to Ottawa Hospital, CHEO, Hurdman Bus Station, Billings Bridge, etc).
There are a couple of Apartment Buildings near Smythe Bus Station. Like Osgoode's 1735 Riverside Drive.

You will be right on the Transitway and so have regular bus connections. But, there is no desi shop and nearest mall will be Billings Bridge.

There are some more apartment buildings near the Rideau Bus Stop (along the Transit way) as well.

My info is almost a decade old - maybe lots of new additions/changes now.

It all depends on what kind of business you do, what is your budget , what kind of visa (duration) you currently have
