The Goa Inquisition was the office of the Inquisition acting in the Indian state of Goa and the rest of the Portuguese empire in Asia. It was established in 1560, briefly suppressed from 1774–1778, and finally abolished in 1812.[1] The Goan Inquisition is considered a blot on the history of Christianity in India both by Christians and Non-Christians alike.

Thanks Aqua for your explanation. It makes sense to believe what you have mentioned.

Shriya.

I would suggest you to take this as an opportunity to learn Ramayana . Ram has prefered his countrymen to His wife , because the dhobi accused Him that He was in lust .He proved that He was not in lust with a women . He was a king and never compromised or biased in delevering His duties to His nation .

He slept on the floor rest of His life after this incidence and put Himself to sufferings as if he lived in a jungle, and suffered equally as Sita in jungle .

Tell your kids they should be like Ram when the grow and have His leader ship qualities .You may also tell them that Ram was an ordinery man like any one of us to whom devinity was awraded by His countrymen due to the high standards set for Himself.

It is natural that we get strucked by an instance that we inherently like . Both the instances above you mentioned have caused some doubts to you beacuse of the angle you prefered to see it. We cannot understand beyond our ability to understand things . That is when we need Gurus . That is why , I beleive,Gita was written as question and answeres between Guru and student

If we can read the original Mahabharat by Ved Vysas, we will find that the issue of Draudpadi wedded to all Pandavas was discussed threadbare, even during these times and not accepted as such. However, atleast they had the courage to discuss and do things differently in their society and not scandalous ways as practiced in the so called civil society nowadays.
