Sorry for the Digression !.
Thousand Apologies for the same !.
Some interesting information, which came across first hand during my recent trip to NYC. I had the opportunity of meeting some of my old friends who incidently are also from Kerala and who happen to be Christians.
I was asked to accompany them to a rally organized for the support of the mayorial candidate. This mayor candidate is also being supported by Ralph Guilani who might be a Republican candidate for the US President next time.
The interesting thing which I observed was the group of this \"Right Wing\" Chrisitians of US of A who are pro republicans, who are against abortion, anti gay marriages have been heavily infiltrated by the christian groups from Kerala. They are into funding, organizing and being a leading vocal voice for the mayoral election race.As the caucasian race is no longer taking up for the priesthood, the maximum numbers are turning up from India in particular from Kerala and Tamil Nadu. It is interesting to note that in many parishes in US of A you'll find priests from these states organizing and maintaining the flock.
My friend who himself is of the same background, mentioned in the near future this group will be able to shape the US politics, and indirectly influence the relationship between India and US of A. It leads to the point that it is no longer IT which is road between USof A and India, it is going to be Christianity/priests who are going to be the link between India and US of A!.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"

Thank God, I am in Canada, far from those debates about intellgent designs, abortions and gay marriages. Good thing that religion does not have a major influence on Canadian politics.

Not if Harper has his way, isnt he gearing up for a poll on gay marriage(in keeping with his election promise)? In the past a lot of CD's have agreed, unlike me, with the anti-gay marriage stand of the conservatives.
