Hi,
I understand that having a lawyer on hand is always a good idea, but I am not sure how I get one. How should I look for a lawyer?
I don’t need a lawyer right now, but I figure I should know a trust worthy lawyer in case I ever got in trouble with the law.
Thanks.

Desiuser,
I think you misunderstood me. I am not looking for a lawyer because I am involved in some illegal activity and worry that I might get in trouble.
One may need a lawyer even when they are not doing anything wrong - say you end up in an accident or an argument with your neighbour or say somebody sues you for issues over which you have no control.
If you get in such a trouble and you need legal help, you will have to scrabmble for a lawyer and you may end up hiring the first one you meet at that point. It is just a matter of forward thinking.
Don't you have a family docotor or have a tax accountant?
