I am pakistani and currently living in Canada as permanent Residence for over 2 years. I just got married a month ago and now i want to apply for my wife's immigration.

Should i just file it my self or get a lawyer to do it. I am really confuse cause couple of people told me that its better with lawyer and then there are some saying dont go with a lawyer?

Any suggestions how should i proceed

You don't need a Lawyer. You are here in Ontario. Go to a nearest Immigrant Help Center and ask for their assistance. It is free and they are thorough and you can depend upon them to help you with all of the application and filling , paying of the required fees, and other details that you would like to know about this process.

Also there is a whole lot of materials in the form of coaching and in detail, as to how to proceed in a systematic way and get things organized before, during and after the application process is started. Print it out and send the same to your spouse and train her too. She will get familiarized with the questions and answers that she will face at the interview.

You came to the right place and do the spade work and prepare yourself. This will provide you with a great head start in the right direction.

Happy New Year.

Freddie.
