Q : Why you did not return after april 2008 ?
A : Had family obligations.
Q : Why Are you here now?
A : For business trip.
Q : Who will take care of your expenses?
A: The company who called me
Q : How long you are staying
A : Initial plan is 1 month, to be extended as needed.

You already have a PR card. Therefore you should focus on preparing how to save your PR status (if you care) rather than focussing on "why you are here" and "your expenses". These questions are typically asked to visitors.

Hello,
I am a Canadian who had once lived in Canada.
I was under the impression you should spend atleast 2 years (720 days) in any 5 year period and if you donot do that, then the visa officer at the POE has the right to refuse you entry and he will, if you donot have any genuine reasons.
Is it that easy to enter (without the risk being sent away at the POE) if you donot have the 2 years required or will they let you in and then send a show cause notice to get info. from you as to why they should not revoke your PR status.
Seniors, kindly advise.

Not a right impression, TK. If you have valid PR you will be allowed to enter even a day prior to expiry but you will be asked questions and warned on dates. Entry will not be refused, if you have valid document.

I am sure in your case after hearing that you are away for long, there will be questions, Just be truthful !
Most probable Questions for you :
- Where are you coming from ?
- Which all countries did you go while you were away?
- How many days you were away OR when did you leave Canada last time ? for what purpose?
based on your answer to these questions, for you there will be some questions asked :
- are you aware of rules for maintaining your PR ? - What are your plans for Canada residence?
- what is your purpose of visit now ?
- What funds do you have with you ?
- are you planning to return soon ?
you will be let in with a 'you should.....' suggestions. A note will be made online against your PR based on your answers.
A question from experts/seniors, Considering Sunilpathak dates and timelines, can he still be allowed to extend his PR if he is willing to settle back in Canada ( he has not fulfilled the requirement of stay of 2 years out of 5 years)?
