A question from experts/seniors, Considering Sunilphatak's dates and timelines, can he still be allowed to extend his PR if he is willing to settle back in Canada ( he has not fulfilled the requirement of stay of 2 years out of 5 years)?
I am also waiting for the reply.

SUNIL
YES. He can be allowed to extend .... but more questions need to be answered to convince that he is really making Canada as his home .... and explaining reasons for not fulfilling the obligations of stay. It all depends on how he puts up his file.
and what happens at the POE if his reasons are not considered valid by the immigration office?
Will he be first let inside canada first and then asked to apprear before a judge (may be it will take 6 more months)
or
will be taken to the dep. lounge and put into next flight to India?
Residents in Canada, please advise.
peace

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
It all depends on how much an individual is committed to Canada. Especially since he did not fulfil the stay requirement , it becomes all the more important.
1. Is the persons family in Canada
2. did the person go out to settle matters home and intends to settle in canada forever ( show prrof of funds to buy a home in next 6 months0
3. if kids are in school, did any transfer process to canada schools initiated?
anything to demonstrate that a person is serious to live in canada. the immigration officers are usually understanding and first step they refer to back office ( as opposed to the general queue). in this office room, another immigration officer will ask questions to which some satisfactory answers are needed.
main thing is if family is in Canada, they will be allowed because i know a person who did not fulfil the stay but his family is in canada and they have a house and kids are in school etc. he goes to work abroad and travels frequently.
So good luck

Dear all
I find this web site very good to share experience with lot of suggestions.
I have a same question like SUNIL and tamilkuravan.
The POE has right to deport you even you have valid PR card even though you did not fulfil the time frame
or they let you in but with a provisional entry.
Or what will be the extreme situation in this matter.
In this situation it is good to hire a lawyer or it is waste of money. Some one has tip to find a good lawyer who is good to handle these type of cases.
Second, normally what kind of the questions they are asking. Some one has an idea or suggestion in this regard.
I would be very thankful for the help and support.
