what abt the 10yr multiple entry visa? Have they started processing these? any idea?

If you are new to the country and do not have any NOA (notice of assessment), I will suggest you to wait 1 year before applying for their visitor visa. If your parents have a long history of international travel and atleast 1 visit to US before, then you can give it a shot just now. But if there is no previous history, please wait before getting that unpleasant stamp on their passports.

u suggest to wait for a year for applying a single entry visa or the 10 year multiple visa?? just to clarify.

You can obtain visa for your parents under following option / category
#1 Super Visa - costly + time consuming 6 weeks
#2 Single / Multiple Entry Visa - simple process + 2 weeks is processing time.
I have used option # 2 for my parents. Process is very simple. You can do it yourself. Submit your job letter + your bank balance certificate + Invitation letter + parents investment details and et al.
Your duration in Canada is not deciding factor for visa. But your Salary and bank balance is.
They just want to make sure that you and / parents have strong finance to support.
whats the kind of salary that they consider reasonable? Whats job letter? Letter stating that u are employed? What if the husband is only working member and intend getting his inlaws but his wife is not working here? Can we still bring them?
