Hi Desis,
Please help me by your suggestions which car is better.
1) Honda Civic 2012: The car doesn't have power(1.8L) for long drive, is low seated but its good on economy , have less repair and is good on resale.
2) Mazda 3 Skyactive: Powerful 2.0 engine, good seat height and zoom factor. I heard that in skyctive the mileage is also improved.
Desis who have Mazda 3 , kindly suggest if there is something I need to keep in mind before buying Mazda 3. I am little tilted towards Mazda coz of better look than Civic, More power than civic, high seat.
I had a Mazda and traded it in for a Honda CRV.
The reason was very poor after sales service.
The guys give the car cheap upfront and then rip you off in service.
Till to date I do not find similar attitude from Honda.
Anyday I'll go with a Honda/Toyota and not compromise on other brands.

Sunny Leone a true Canadian DESI now back in India !.
Thanks Vandematram. Your help is appreciated. I am changing my mind to Civic as well as it looks better for local commute. I took Mazda 3 for weekend and went to US. It did 545 kms on a Gas tank(55 litres). I drove Elantra earlier, which did 520 kms on a Gas Tank (48 litres).
Speed was near 120 kms/her most of times. So these stats can be useful for someone too.

Why not Corolla ? Honda Civic due to no innovation in recent years and falling sales because of that , is expected to revamp the next model in which case the resale of the current model will go down ...
I d consider a Corolla or an Elantra .. Both are proven cars with constant innovation and design change .
I drive a Corolla ... I drove a Civic the other day ... Low seating and engine / wind noise were no good . Glad do not own one .
Had a Mazda Protege ... predeccessor to Mazda 3.. The transmission died . Will not buy another Mazda . Corolla rocks.

Fido.
Thank you all for your feedback. Toyota Corrolla is good technically but look wise its very simple, Camry is better , and am looking at second hand camry's too. I agree Fido, Civic is low seating, I dont like that thing in Civic , dats why was more inclined towards Mazda, but with Mazda there are other issues, so trying to narrow down to one thing which has all. (good on gas, looks good and drives good, low maintenance). I was looking at Camry last night , 50,000 kms done and 2009 hybrid model(good on gas) for 16,888 from owner. Not sure if its gonna be better than buying new civic or corrolla.
I have just bought 2009 Matrix with 66k kms on it. A delight to drive and that pleases the eyes. So far, very happy with the spaciousness, economy, and the interiors. Can't really go wrong with 1.8L engine and a completely different and impressive looks.
In my opinion, Honda is way overrated. You can't match Toyota anyday and anyway.
Have you also thought about Nissan Versa?
