Yes, you have to inform, but this should not hold you from renewing sticker online.
Just enter the first three letters of your new insurance company.
Generally, what we call "insurance company" are not the acutal insurance company, but they are the agents.
Check your insurance certificate, the pink sheet given to you. The insurance company may be different than the agent.

At what stage we have to tell them? Do you have any link to support this? I have provided the correct name in the insurance company name field.
