I am a mechanical engineer by profession and has done my M Tech from IIT kanpur.I have applied for immigration to Canada and expecting Visa in a month's time.I am reading experiences of lot of immigrants on your site.
Most of immigrants looks frustated.What are the chances of getting a teaching job at any level.Though I am meatally ready for doing any type of labour job /job in universities/higher education/plant job etc.
Is it easy getting a field job/regular job in NOvember/december.

once you get the local teaching degree/license, you should not have any probs finding job in Ontario. Don't know about other provinces. Recently Alberta teachers were on a big strike.

You will need a P. Eng designation to do that which is essentially a membership in engineering association. W/o P. Eng you will not get a job as it is a pre requisite.
To get P. eng you will need to show some canadian experience, something like 300 hours I believe.
To get job you need P. Eng, to get P. Eng you need a job.

It is one thing to be mentally prepared for manual jobs but in actuality to find one and work it out is another thing. You will be frustrated very soon as you will be surrounded by uneducated desis and will wonder what are you doing?
There are No jobs from 15th dec to 4th of Jan. It picks up after that
Obviously you speak english very well so may rather want to start in call centre industry here, It is called telemarketing and is generally extremly frustrating. But at least it is in an office, you will polish your english and will make a network with other educated people. factory jobs are a dead end andonce you are in, you are stuck for long time as they will leave you tired at the end of day.

Above information is not correct.
You cann't call yourself an "engineer" without having PEng. Having said so, you can get a job in any engineering firm and do all the engineering work, but not authorised to approve (stamp) that work. Your work must be supervised by a Professinal Engineer.
You can get PEng without really working under PEng or without having any engineering experience in Canada. What they give is so called "Provisional PEng", once you get that, you can work with any PEng and then convert it into a regular PEng.
Infact one can apply for PEng while sitting in India. However you will be awarded your PEng only when you land in Canada.

What is PEO?
Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is the licensing and regulating body for engineering in the province. It fulfills the same role for engineers as the College of Physicians and Surgeons for doctors or the Law Society of Upper Canada for lawyers.
Under the Professional Engineers Act, a provincial statute, PEO is responsible for the licensing and discipline of engineers and companies providing engineering services. PEO protects the public by ensuring all professional engineers are qualified for licensing.
Individuals may not call themselves a professional engineer, a P.Eng., or use any similar title that may lead to the belief that they are qualified to practise professional engineering, unless they are licensed by PEO. There are currently 64,000 licensed professional engineers in Ontario, organized across the province in 38 regional chapters.
To become a professional engineer, applicants must meet the following criteria: be at least 18 years of age; be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada (this requirement may change); graduate with at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited Canadian engineering program, or meet PEO’s education standards; successfully complete PEO’s Professional Practice Examination on ethics, practice, engineering law and professional liability; and obtain four years of verifiable, acceptable work experience, with at least one year in a Canadian jurisdiction under a licensed professional engineer.
Companies and individuals may not offer or provide engineering services to the public unless they obtain a PEO Certificate of Authorization. There are approximately 3800 Certificate of Authorization holders in Ontario.
Please let me now which firms in Toronto have employed engineers from another country witout P. Eng designation or any previous canadian experience?
In theory everything is possible. But can you work in Canada as an engineer after landing? if so then why are engineers from India and pakistan are flipping burgers or working as security gurads in every second building ?

Consider a simple scenario.
You are business owner and have advertized a job.
You get 15 resume from people whose names you can pronounce very well, who have worked on similar projects in the past, who are very familiar with procedures, agencies and ethics involved and carry verifyable refrences.
16th resume is from a tribal from Assam whose name you can't even pronounce, has just landed, has no local experience, you dont know his qualifications are at par or not and are not sure how others in your office will interact with him.
Who gets hired?

You are very right. IT Engrs may have an upper hand of finding some office jobs here. But I have found that Mech, Elect, Production, Civil, Intrumentation, chemical Engrs from India are in dire state for initial years. Those who are well-built(which is rare among our gujjus) and can do tough labour, do survive the factory jobs. Rest of them give up and look for jobs at gas station or stores where no muscle is needed. I have seen some factory people taking up some courses for quality control, etc.. and finally get a factory job which requires less labour and more paperwork. This is a generic situation in GTA and neighbouring towns.
There are always some exceptions. some luck out and get great jobs without any hassles.
