Hi Friends!
I know it sounds lame but the fact is my mother landed in july 2013 on "Super Visa" however, she has got the stamp of only six months in her passport which expires in Jan 2014. How should I get it extended?
Apply via normal extension for a 2 year period and show that you have a supervisa
Many ppl have got that 6 month stamp and got it extended
Here is some additional information... :
Parents and Grandparents – Authorized Period of Extended Stay :
About the authorized period of extended stay
On November 4, 2011, CIC announced a temporary pause on all new sponsorship applications for the parents and grandparents category. With the introduction of this pause, CIC implemented an Authorized Period of Extended Stay for up to two years for applicants seeking to extend their visit with their child or grandchild who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
This Authorized Period of Extended Stay allows visitors to stay for a period of up to two years.
Note: Parents and grandparents already in Canada on a temporary resident status may apply for a two-year extended stay through the Case Processing Centre-Vegreville (CPC-V) by using this application package.
Ask for an application package for extending Temporary Resident Visa.

Folks with Supervisa who have no DATE stamped, can live upto 2 years, those with regular multiple visa who have no DATE stamped, is allowed to live upto 6 months
Eitherway - if date is stamped, regardless of visa, need to leave canada and can apply for extension
I applied for 6+1 year now, they came on regular visa, but if u were on supervisa then then apply for 2 year ext after 6 months expire
