Hasni:
A direct question to you.
Are you in Canada? How long do you plan to be in Canada?
Unless you are going to be here long time, there is no point in filing for taxes. Your credits (Child tax, Universal life, GST credits) will all stop, once you leave the country.
A person like me (who will never return to Canada), moniotors my CPP statement every year to see how much I can get at the end of age 60 or 65. Other than that there is no use in My Account for people who do not intend to stay in Canada,.
First tell us things about yourself and then we can advise.,

Hi TK, I am outside Canada right now, did a short landing in Nov 2013, and shall be going in August to drop my family there. My contract with present employer in Saudi will finish in March and I plan to go to Canada for goods after that and join my family there inshAllah.
Dimple, thanks for your suggestion, but believe me I have read all those links, but they are so confusing that you don't end up anywhere. Besides it is purely technical stuff, I have a feeling that a new immigrant should not mind spending few buck and get it done through some tax office. So now I have two options, either do it right now or do it through a tax office after reaching Canada in August. Let me be honest with you guys, its more to do with the CCTB, how would i be able to get it quicker !! please suggest
Seenimesh, first timers cant do it online

Hasni,
Come and do it in august.
Anyways, they will even give you any back amount (if any - Though I see that your family will get it only after aug 2014).
again let me tell you, CCTB, UCCB, GST credit will be peanuts compared to what you will be spending in canada. so donot bother too much about it.
However, you can live in canada by spending nothing but that requires much thought and well developed mind. As far as I can see, you are not mature enough and so I will not be teaching you everything but I can give some points as to what I mean.
1. Food banks, soup Kitchen etc..
2. Exploiting the max. of free things (library, parks, free admissions)
3. Buying a house and subletting a portion of it. Also you can state to the Govt. that you are broke after buying the house and they will give you benefits by overlooking that you have a huge equity in the house.
4. Baby sitting a few extra kids along with yours
5. Cheat other gullible immigrants by doing Quikstar, Primerica etc..
Please take it in the right spirit. You confused even about peanuts in Canada and hence I canot teach you logs in Canada.

On my first tax return my wife failed to tick the "do you have over $100,000 box as she was unawares... now I am to filing a T1135 for the following year.. I notice that a T1135 is not required for an immigrants first partial year, so will this become a problem? There was some interest income as well.
