I just made a quick check on trhe fares from Mumbai to Halifax. here are the results.

As a single carrier LUFTHANSA will provide you with a oneway ticket, economy for $910. us.
Together with a second carrier CONDOR* will get you to HALIFAX likewise for $970 us. Check for the stop over times and the delays.

You will get another rebate of $50 for quoting their rebate code "LC50" AT THE CHECK OUT.
Print this and carry it to a local agent and he will do it for you at the same cost price to you.
Please add travel delays, Cancelled flights and loss of baggage Insurance. Also Flight insurance for the trip.
