Fido.
on a side note,
depends on car condition, sometime people are agree to buy the car "as is condition" that means you do not have to do any kind of Safety certificate, emission test, etc..obviously you will get more money when selling the car with safety and emission test but again depends on the car condition, is not worth it to spend $1000 to pass safety and you are getting same amount of the money after all hassles...
you just get the money and you have to hand over your sign Ownership, hand written sale letter and walk away. if you are planning to buy new car than try to trade-in with dealer and you can save a good money on taxes too...
make a nice AD and post in Kijiji, craigslist, Canadian Desi and make some print out and put at a local grocery stores, or Dollarama, dollar blitz, etc..
Trust me put AD at local grocery stores works great... I sold my two previous cars by doing AD at local grocery stores.
all the best....
Thanks Fido and RBO

Fully agree with Chandresh ,
Trade in best and hassle free option, It is possible even cross dealership. I gave away my honda accord (american) to audi at a good price, Price offered was 2k more than the honda dealer's evaluation , that too without paying any HST, doing safety etc. Works like charm. Worth a try.
