I am sure you have travelled that way. At the foot of TOMKEN and DUNDAS, in the pit, there is a small plaza. In that there is a shop called NEW VANNI MARKET Inc., they had a stock that i knew around the month of April-May 2015. Take a shot, you will surely hit the stuff you are looking for.

960 DUNDAS. St.East is the location. PH. 905 566 5550. Will save you a trip, if they have run out of them. The last batch, blew my back end off. So, ask before you buy that stuff, unless that is what you are looking for.

FH.

Alternate. 'Kaveri'.. 500 feet east of HWY 10 and HWY 5 North East Corner. Very risky entrance to get in or out. fh

Thanks FH ~ I have known these places , though never visited them .. I shall this coming weekend ... Appreciate the detailed pointers which would be so very time saving .

Since some times I might visit Scarborough as well ( and this is more for awareness ) , would Tamil or Sri Lankan stores carry more of these or could be both ? ... I mean would is be safe to assume that these chillis are equally popular in both types of stores ?

You can try any South Indian Grocer and ask. Supply and demand is based on the neighbor-hood community. You don't want a stale supply or one that is off the best before date.

South Indian.

Sinhalese.

Keralites.

Malabar-Konkan Coast.

Also Kannadigas.

Andhra stuff is like dynamite.

So, check with these stores and tell us which group they belong to. If you can sound them.

I thought I will tell you a little bit more about the chillies that I have coming up. But the Summer here is not like the tropics, so, the chillies that are growing will not ripen on the vine or the tree.

The plant cost me about 10 bucks, I now have about 10 chillies on it. It is about the size of a TIM bit. Currently the plant is about three feet in height. I tried one of them. The Hotness level in that is about 500,000 scovilles. I took a bite and ended up on two huge glasses of milk and a couple of TUMS to chase it. The plant is called Carolina Reaper. I picked it up at a location called TERRA at Waterdown. HWY 6 area.

Then I have two BHUT Jolokia's that I picked up at Garden Gallery, they are flowering now, and I hope they will bear a few chilles later. But senor our summer is over. I may have to drag them indoors. And when they enter the indoor area, they stop bearing any fruits.

That is Canada for us. It is goo to know.

FH.

You can make them at home too, if you don't find them.
