This should HELP and Encourage you to get in and complete the same. Surely do... take advantage of it if you can afford it. It will also open up an avenue to migrate into Canada later. Pl. Keep us posted. fh

I will not blame anyone here if the people who approach us here do not get the proper answers. Also those who might have good insight into it might just give it a cursory glance and waive it off.

Here is an actual case of a dental problem that happened in India. The Individual while eating a hearty meal chewed on a bone and broke a molar and chipped it. Had to get an X-ray and got a cast made and got it extracted and needed an IMPLANT, a cheap one costing about $200 in all. That is big bucks in India. Had to delay and postpone the travels too. The family there knew the Dentists, the procedures, the delays etc., and will not let the patient (now) return till he was able to enjoy semisolids and then the solids too later on. That was service. No one knew about it. It was NOT DENTAL TOURISM. But you can call it one after the event.

Do we encourage it in India. Surely they do. There are other medical procedures that get done there in India as well and they are too many and very interesting ones too.

Here is a little bit of help from a few of the Canadian Websites. They are not current and a few are a couple of years old and it is given here for the OP to read and get to know from each source what they said in those years. Pro rate it to the current era and then approximate the same OR write to those institutions and get the exact figures as he intends to pay for it all. If he has any friends and relatives with whom he can stay, I would say spend an additional TWO months after the birth and get it all in stride and make a smooth exit, because the baby will need the additional weeks to withstand the long travels back to the M.E. (KSA)

It does take a lot of studying and research to post to questions of this nature and this is not the top most of the lot, but will suffice, and enough to get you started on a better footing.

Please check the dates. The charges have changed.

Dear Desi's,

I am 31 years holding Indian passport and my wife 27 as well having Indian passport.
We currently live and work in Dubai.
We both have tourist visa for 3 years which give us 6 months stay at one time.
My wife is 10 weeks (3month) pregnant. We are planning to enter Canada when she is doing her 5th month so this way we have to spend only last 4 months of her pregnancy in Canada.

How much will a normal delivery cost in Brampton or Mississauga or any other desi area?
Where can we have a economical stay for 5 - 6 months in some desi area?
Will my child get the Canadian passport with no issues?
and how much time is would take for his canadian passport to be given in hand?

I already have one boy who is 16 months old. This is our 2nd child.
Like every parent in the world i want to give my child better prospects in his life.
We have lived our whole life in Dubai and as disheartening it is we are still not a citizen here cuz the government does give so.

Kindly advise the best and way to go about it.

Thanks,
Naresh Bhatia

I feel that if a person comes for consultation , no discrimination is based on residence as the medical pros / hospitals get their money either ways through OHIP.

Can you please share your source/s ? If based on hearsay, it may not be reliable.

I have gone thru 2 pregnancies personally and have come across many women during visits who were not residents of this country. They were able to see the OB more often than we the regular clients. I work as an Accountant and have clients who are medical professionals and these r my very old clients and they themselves have confided this to me. They said priorities r definately given to the revenue patient than the resident or citizen and they themselves were not happy with the way things are working on the upper level.

Again whoever wants to move for anchor babies will definately move irrespective of what others say. But as educated and hard working citizens of this country we definately have a right to voice out our opinion.

Why would you need to see the OB more often than required ?

We have had 2 kids as well and I don't recall my wife having to miss any scheduled appointments. We did have parents from the UAE once in the same room post delivery and I did not observe any different treatment to them .

You have every right to voice your opinion but I don't think OP was asking for that. He wanted to know the process to get it done and it is a perfectly legitimate process.

Every pregnancy and needs differ. Not everyone go to regular OB some are referred to specialist as well and many appnts are moved up and down. Maybe ur wife was one of the lucky ones.

Yes let people go ahead and do the so called "Legitimate Process".
