I am planning to enroll for PGDM program in Big data at Lambton college - Mississauga.
Looking for information on if the course duration will be of 2 yrs and what are the work permit options post completion of the pgdm and will it allow me to stay for 2 more years?
Any information regarding the course would be helpful.

At the outset everything looks hunky dory. Which means that you can expect to stay and continue working for an additional TWO Years. Please get that in writing before you embark on the PGDM program and see if placements are guaranteed.

They are NOT A UNIVERSITY. They will issue to you a DIPLOMA. Which will permit you to move on further to get a degree? Please check on it.

Please make your inquiries with them They seem to be full upto 2017 Dec. Look for seats in 2018. Hope this helps.

Big data enables users to make informed decisions and better predict future outcomes.

The Lambton College Big Data - Science & Informatics, Ontario College Graduate Certificate is focused on utilizing big data technology for unstructured data to help guide industry decision-making. The innovative curriculum will focus on topics such as information administration, and development. In combination with Business Intelligence tools, data analytics, and cloud computing, students will blend theoretical knowledge with hands-on skills to learn to capture, collect, curate, search, analyze and store complex data sets that are utilized by organizations to guide business decisions.

The final semester will enhance all learning outcomes through a co-operative education or applied project work term. In addition to a full range of enhanced virtualization deployment skills, data analytics and cloud computing theory, students apply these skills to a variety of cutting-edge open-source and vendor-specific virtualization solutions.

This Lambton College program is licensed to and delivered by Queen's College (PDF), a licensed private career college in Mississauga, Ontario. Students that are registered at Lambton in Mississauga are students of a public college and as such, will receive full credit from Lambton College for all Lambton College courses completed at the Queen's College campus in Mississauga. Students who meet program graduation requirements will graduate with a credential from Lambton College.
Admission Requirements

A university degree or college diploma or advanced diploma in computers, mathematics, engineering, statistics or related discipline.

The admissions process is competitive and meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee admission.
English Language Requirements

IELTS (International English Language Testing Score) of 6.5 with no individual bands less than 5.5.

Meeting the minimum English requirements does not guarantee admission. Students with higher English proficiency scores will receive priority in the admission assessment process.
