London: The manager of a London restaurant who refused to serve Indians and Pakistanis was fired on Sunday.
Fozle Rabi, 32, was sacked by his Bangladesh boss after reports that he turned away Asians because they demanded food that was too spicy.
Chef Haris Mira of the Emperor of India in Bowness, Cumbria, told the Sun: "Mr Rabi has been sacked as some customers didn’t like him. This is bad for business — English, Asian, all should be welcome."
The controversy arose after watchmaker Mohsin Darugar and wife Rehmat were turned away on their 40th wedding anniversary. Rabi said cooking extra spicy curries for Asians was a "hassle".
The furious couple, of Milton Keynes, Bucks, complained to the Commission for Racial Equality. Agencies
