Nice rosy article, but an eyewash... in my opinion. Is housing the only factor? Been out in Gurgaon? Malls are nice... but do you find an auto to get back home even if someone dropped you there? NO. Bus facilities? Health standards? See it for yourself... Road traffic... You see atleast one dead per day lying unattended on the very very highly congested and unruly lane hopping traffic. You may be safe inside, but are you safe outside? Not that we shun our country, but I feel its a reality. Get a bigger picture... it is advisable.

Agree to your views on Gurgaon. I lived there for 6 months last year and for the first 3 months I didn't have any vehicle. It was a nightmare to go to office or go shopping for groceries. No autos and the only transportation was a rickshaw. Had to brave the temparatures of 45C in a cycle rickshaw during the peak summer season from May to July. Sometimes I had to walk for a couple of kilometers to find a rickshaw! I am sure it was a humbling experience for the soul but physically it was exhausting
On the otherhand, it was a modern township with multiplexes, huge shopping malls, well maintained apartments (quite expensive though either to rent or buy) but a zero on public infrastructure.
