The song that you are referring to was with Spanish opera singer Monserrat Cabale - called Barcelona - and opened the Barcelona Olympic games in 1992. Unfortunately, Freddie had died in 1991, so we didn't have the song live at the opening ceremony of the Olympics.......nostalgia eh?

Yeah the song was called Barcelona- composed at the request of Montserrat, who hails from Barcelona, and who wanted a song about her hometown as I remember it. The idea to play it at the Olympic games came later. If I remember the song was composed in the late 80's -87 0r 88.
Farukh schooled in India till the early 60's when he left for England. Anyway, this is all from memory.

BKb dude, the music of today does not come anywhere close to the ones of 90s....maybe its is just me and my bias for the music of 80s / 90s music....but brittany and all of today do not come close.

there are a few exceptions tho ...Nora Jones, Avril levine are great
