Ahaa! so BL you noticed my purposeful distortion of Eminem to M&M? you are very alert. I think the guy is so good, he's good enough to eat! OOOOOHHH! So good!!!!!!!!!!! Have you guys heard how his new video"just lose it" has irked Whacko?

Well, he must be doing something right. He's the only white kid in an industry that is almost exclusively black. And he's thriving! I guess he's good although I've never been into the whole hard-core gangsta rap / hip-hop scene myself.

The candy part I'm unsure of. :D

I was at one point in time into bands that mixed rap/hip-hop with rock, stuff like Limp Bizkit / Linkin park etc. Does not sound very appealing now, Fred Durst sucked big time on his last album.

I used to wear a T-shirt brandishing his kabuki face, lipstick and long hair and below it in multiclor writing it said:

How can we forget them. They played in Mumbai, when they were hardly known entities in the early eighties.I missed them but my ex-girlfriend saw them and till date she talks about them. They rocked.

Sting played with Annie Lennox on Sunday here in TO. Did anybody see them?

Que sera sera?- hey yaar that is crores of years old from the flick "The Man who Knew Too Much". Song was sung by Doris Day.

Yeah Tom Jones and the other Englebert Humperdink( what a bloody name!)

Santana- yeah straight from the belly of Frisco tho' now he prefers to be linked to his Latino roots. Saw him here a cupla years ago. Pure Dada! Reared from the ashes! But still maha! Like Clapton!

There are hajar others from the purana days like Crosby Stills Nash and Young. We still hear of Young but the others?
Oh well,

So does he/she bear your child? (ha,ha,ha!- that would be something!)

You made it with Boy George and infering from the post above you are still in touch with your ex-girlfriend, as you say she still talks about The Police, and you are married with children? You are one wild and virile 50 year old. Are you really 50 years old? I think I asked you this once before and you never answered. Ha, ha, ha caught you there. Wonder how your wife takes it with you still in touch with your ex-girlfriend.Does she know?

I am only joking BKB, don't mean to pry into your private life.

Have a great day! :)

BKB,

It was music we were discussing.....ofcourse u do have the right to turn the discussion any which way you want.....a bargain for freedom of expression.

The Pyramids are also eons old but they will never be outdated.......likeways IMO music has no language and no age.......I am proud that I was passed the legacy of wonderful music from my grandpa and dad.......it is great music! Not all have the privilage and honour of possessing such heirlooms......or to value them.......if you listen to the Blue Danube and the likes.....sure its crores of years old but you would be surprised how 'inspirational' they have been to todays musicians! When these are auctioned at Christy's and Sotheby's for millions of dollars then they may become worth a mention.

And what the heck...why would such music leave a wonderful impact on me??!! Could be because I am eighty yrs. old.....

Hey pal,
As I infer you think I am knockin' you fer mentionin' Que sera sera 'cos it's old, but hardly amigo. I am givin' ya the thumbs up! Like I was amazed to see the song mentioned. Brought to mind the old days, the movie "the man Who knew Too much"- took place in Morocco and Doris Day- which stirred up memories of Pat Boone, Bobby Darin (Things like a lover's vow, things like a kiss in the dark, things like a sailboat ride, yeah yeah,), Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Connie francis and many others. Songs like "Lipstick on your collar told a tale on you..." and " Never on a Sunday" and oh so many more. Man the very mention of Doris Day sent me truckin' down meory lane. And also to Paul Anka and Tony Bennett. And reminded me of movies of Rock Hudson and Troy Donahue, Liz taylor, John Wayne, Yul Brynner, James Stewart, hey man like see what ya triggered- hey now that reminds me of Roy Rogers and his horse Trigger and his wife Dale Evans and now we are talking "Have Gun will Travel", "Sea Hunt" "The Lone Ranger" "Hopalong Cassidy"- hoo boy you're a wonder boy!
Man, far out Doris Day!Great! yaar! Too muckin' fuch! Bring on some more oldies! Ne'er can tire o' 'em. I remember "Blue danube". Great music also. And you say I'll be surprised how inspirational these songs are?!!??!!!?
Yeah, good joke man,80 years old and you enjoyed Whacko's Bad in college. Were you a prof?:)
Cheers bud, don't ne'er read me wrong- just keep pilin' 'em old numbers on. And I got hajar such heirlooms where music is concerned.

BTW, I ain't ne'er heard o' these songs being auctioned at Christies and Sotheby's fer millions o' dollars but one fine day pal, ya ne'er know!

And as music goes ain't nobody mentioned jazz so far! Then came jazz rock with Al Dimeola and others. They rocked too.

Rock On!

Yes I have a heard a lot about al Demeola. Supposed to be a phenomenal guitar player.

Anyway, I recently got the following CDs...After recomendations from other forums.

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
John Coltrane - Giant Steps.
Bill Evans - Sunday at the Village Vanguard

All 3 are supposed to be The top Jazz records of all time. (incidentally both Coltrane and Evans played for Miles Davis in one record or another).

Kind of blue is fantastic. I normally dont like Jazz because I see it as instrumentals, but KOB is really really good.

The other two are great too. Also got from the Mississauga Library Coltranes A Love supreme. Wonderful.

There are others that I will get later.
