Hi all, my parents have been visiting here for the last few months and have decided that they want to go back sometime this month. Their current tickets are confirmed for Jan 20/05 and acording to AC there is nothing available in their ticket class during this month or December.
I have contacted AC and got their names on the waithing list for class V. That's the ticket class that they purcheased.
I have found out that class H has lots of seats avaibleable this month. But in order for my parents to change classes, they have to buy a new ticket. :-(
Has anyone been through something like this? Would a travel agent be able to push for the class that we are waithing on?
Any advice is appreciated....

Dude
Travel agent can do lot of stuff. My suggestion call him, he will ask you to either
1. Send tickets back to india via courier and in india they will put sticker on the ticket for new date with date change penalty+ difference in fare collection.
2. Or they will send message to Canada office to put sticker in H class as money has been recieved in india
This is how it is usually with the airlines. I have done this myself for my aunt who travelled to washington.
