Lecture Lecture and Lecture!! You know it that everything started from problem of not getting bill at the correct address. And you guys are bent on catching be by my neck. Well, I do not have any such ambitions. I am aware of the security checks they have. I am not dumb. It is eqaully not advicable to send your bills to somebody else address. It accounts to fraud.

Any insight on good internet providers in states and Lan telephone line.
Which companies are cheap and reliable?

It depends on where in the US you plan to live.
In general, the Bell group of companies dominate this business.

But there are a couple of other providers that are known to provide better quality of service than Bell (surprise, surprise !).

If you can get Mindspring, that is the best company I have heard of.
Minspring leases their lines from Bell, but their customer service is way better.

Also, Verizon is very good too.

Mercury, our member ani70 did mention abt a Royal Bank Visa card that can be used in the USA...But unfortunately, you have to pay a yearly fee of $65.

The point being...folks... I am not trying to encourage anyone to get a credit card from these choices. There may be other credit card companies that have services both in Canada and in the USA... Before taking a credit card in Canada, make sure you do some searching on the web and find out if the company has any operations in the USA...
