Hi there. I arrived from San Francisco this morning, to meet a group of friends who are all originally from Toronto, to attend a New Year's party.

After I landed, I had a voicemail from the group (who now live in New York) that they've had a change of plans, and will not be coming to Toronto.

I'm consquently stuck here in a hotel in North York, and know absolutely no-one in town, and checking with the airline, its too expensive for me to fly back to SFO today.

I'm 30/male/South Indian, have lived in the US for the past 15 years, primarily in San Francisco. I work in marketing/advertising, on the \"ideas\" side of things. I'm a normal, funny guy who just happens to be stuck in another country for the New Year :-)

I feel a bit silly making this post, but I was wondering if there were any groups getting together that might want to include another fella for tonight. It would be a shame to bring in the New Year alone, in a city that I'm not familiar with.

I tried to get a ticket to the \"Enchantment 2005\" thing, but was told that I had to know someone in the community to be sold a ticket, and that there's nothing that they could do. I guess strange single guys aren't very welcome at parties here :-).

Anyway, if there's some place I shoud hang out, I'd appreciate someone letting me know. Thanks!
