Hi all!
I have law qualification and exp. in ITeS projects (not programming part) and corporate legal experience. I find quite a number of jobs for legal secretary/legal assistant etc. on the Workinfonet.com site. Would they prefer to take people like me or do they insist for canadian qualifications and work experience. What kind of jobs would be available to people with non-technical qualifications and generalist/admin exp. even in the long run? I feel except toning one's commns skills, adding any more qualifications here in India may not increase one's job opportunities in Canada.

currently the governemnt is looking at training new experienced foreign professional in their own fields. I think you might be able to if you really have a good law degree and experience in that field. But the problem is having a law degree with experience in the ITes industry is not going to help when it comes to the immigration or even a job. There are alot of lawyers here and more are not expected out here. You need to do somthing from the occupation list which the government provides. This list isthe one which the government updates every year according to their needs.
But mostly they expect you to have a canadian law degree ifyou want a job out here when you come

I think you need to find a suitable Occupation from the list provided by CIC other wise there will be confuse . with that title you can justify CIC with your exp.
