My daughter was born in USA about 1 month before I became a Canadian citizen. The documents from the Canadian Consulate in New York state that I can file for the Canadian status for my child if I was a citizen at the time of her birth. I am only a month late !! Can I still apply for her Canadian status ?
I would've thought the answer is obvious. If you're not a citizen when your kid is born, you're not a citizen when your kid is born.
Don't think it would make any difference if you're a day late or a month late.

Are you there?

Now if you and your baby are in canada than you have to sponser your baby and get her PR and with it you can apply her citizenship but she can't get citizenship automatically bcs on her birth time you was not canadian citizen.
