I applied from Buffalo in Sept,2001. I completed my interview in Losangeles in May 2003. On August 1st week, my e-client status was DECISION MADE. Until the end of August, I didn't receive any notification. When I enquired LA consulate, they said that they are waiting for the background check results. How long does it take for a national from India for the background check to be done?

Suppose if I had to leave USA before the decision is known, is it possible to get the passport stamping from India?

I am in a similar situation. Applied Nov 2001, Interview in Los Angeles in June 2003 and status updated to "Decision Made" at end of August 2003. Still no word from CIC. Have you already paid your ROLF? Please let me know.

I paid mine after the interview. If I hear anything from the CIC, I'll let you know in this discussion thread and if You can do the same, I'd appreciate it.
