I've been in the US for the last 6 years on an H1B visa. I received my Canadian permanent residency a year before moving to the US. If I live in Canada for the next 3 years am I eligible for Canadian citizenship ??

Would I have trouble when I apply for citizenship 2 years from now ??
Sure, as you must have lived in Canada for 1095 days before you apply for citizenship - the day you sign your citizenship application.

What I meant was will I have trouble when I apply for Canadian citizenship since I was away for 6 years ?? I have been here for a year and plan to apply for citizenship after completing the 3 year requirement.
Oh ok.
I think the application kit says you must have lived 3 years out of last 5 years in canada before you apply for it.
You can check it at http://www.cic.gc.ca
Massood can throw more lights on it.
