I've head that canada is annoucing new measures to ease immigration rules??

Anyone have any idea as to what are the new changes in the immigration process which will speeden up the process time???

Canada eases immigration rules

This statement is valid for parent's immigration and not skilled worker.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

I came across a article in a Indian news paper where the Head of one immigration agency mentioned that Canada is easing immigration rules and now the process time will improce and many more deserving Indian will make it to canada..

Well he clearly mentioned that immigration process time for skilled people will come down..

I think Masoodji can throw some light on this issue.

Relaxation is only in certain categories and skilled workers category is not one of them- it is very clear from the news release which you can find on http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/press/05/0511-e.html." rel="nofollow">LINK

If some one said that relaxation is for skilled workers category, it is either out of their lack of knowledge or to promote their business (not ususual with some immigration consultants for Canada in India) .

Please donot take seriousely some of the immigration agencies claim as they are a bunch of
tricksters ruthlessly exploiting the eager aspirants with dreams of CANADA instead of giving the real picture.

I am sure about them as I happen to be one of their victim

It will be a good idea if Massoodji can highlight few of the changes and where they will be applicable. Consultants in India are all set to take people for a ride. It will save few people and lot of cash.

I do not agree with the way Canadian Immigration is letting in so many immigrants. I think they need to increase the points and get in people who can spread out, and have high earning power. On the other hand, they should make entrepreneurs' entry into Canada easier than skilled workers. Businesses generate jobs and as it is we have surplus of skilled workers already, more proportionately than the Businesses. Non-productive immigrants like parents and others (no offence!) will put a burden on social security and welfare fabric of Canada. If this is the way things continue within 5 yrs living standards of Canada will fall below Spain and New Zealand!
