Hi Forumites,
I am planning to land in some place in Ontario.I have been reading so much of this location "GTA"
Why every immigrant flocks to GTA and every one is scared of high competetion in this area.Is real estate cprices and rents cheap? Is cost of living very high?
What are the advantages and disadvantages in settling in GTA?
Is n't it a good nieghborhood?
If not GTA are there any other good and peaceful places in Ontario where you can find desi community and good employment opprtunities.
Can some one on this forum through some light on this.

GTA = Greater Toronto Area = Toronto + it's neighbouring cities. It's the gateway to Canada (so they say).
It's got all the advantages & disadvantages that come with a big Metro city like New York, Chicago, LA, Bombay (oops Mumbai), Delhi etc. High rents, more competition, more opportunity... and so on....
