The will to succeed and grow and make more $$ makes us cross International borders . There is nothing wrong with it . Every body has a right to earn their bread and butter , be it Rupees or dollars. Also there is no guarantee that If we stayed India , we would have contributed to Improve it because when we were there , we were one of them and a part of the faulty system and We did not know the negatives until we moved out and saw India from a diffferent perspective.

When in India , it is motherland, homeland and evreything sentimental and that's all people see it as but when we move out it is just another country on the globe fighting to keep itself alive and running. The persective become broader or more global.

India will improve at its own pace and has its own share of problems to take care of . Every country has issues and the people living there have to bear the consequences of living there good or bad.

My 2 cents ..

Well said. !!! your 2 cents is worth $2

Inspite of all the internal problems/issues within the country, it's still surviving. Come to think of it, all the multinationals have some sort of set-up in India. They've probably seen the potential in the country.

And like Smiley said... "India will improve at its own pace ". Just like every human being is different. There's no hard and fast rule that a child will learn to talk at 2 years. Some start early some late, but the bottom line is, they all do.

If you feel India is backwards, how about some of the African countries.

Recently I was surprised to read about the Metro rail in Delhi. Even the Japanese Prime Minister has appreciated the piece of work. It's efficiency is around 99.9%, which is one of the best in the world. 10 years ago who would have thought that something like this would happen in the future.

Mera Bharat Mahan.....

Like any other country, India has its own problems, but are unique to itself. India is vast and rich in Culture ,Philosophy , Literature and languages , art ,Music , sculpture , Ayurveda and many things. Indian can never be understood ,it is to be felt only. So much diversity .

Last millennium, it was the target for spices .It was target for the mystique .The spices lead to the discovery of America. The mystique led the west to pursue the alchemy that led to the nuclear bomb. While the indigenous development was Gandhi.

All this wealth is concentrated with few people, until now. Things are set for fast changing due to up- lifting of the so called backward or low caste people. Indian backward castes are what africans to americans during the salvery. Merit has lost its glory .But it is an unavoidable technical correction.

India’s democracy is caste based, not matured like in the west. We have to accept the reality of segregation of castes in the minds of people.

Many of our forefathers who led us in the freedom movement, though good in their hearts, but not as wise as their counterparts in the west. Their integrity is not questionable but their wisdom.

The next generation, that is Indira or Murarji have spent their political life for either dethroning some body or protecting their own position, both inside and outside the party.

The political dissidents of the above generation has further degenerated the Indian politics. People like VP Singh have cheated the entire nation by false Bofor Corruption of Rajiv. It made Rajiv to loose power and his life, ultimately (He might not have lost his life, If he was the Prime minister at the time of his death).

The only contribution of VP Singh is Mandalisation. Though his interest is to get the votes of the (so called) backward castes, it has contributed the Backs to question the political leaders. This resulted in raising the people like Laloo, Mulayam, Mayavathi and others national wide. Though it is a natural political evolution, VPS has catalyzed it.

Look at India. Now they are not bothered whether it is ruled by Brahmin or even Indian. We are all convinced that Indian ness is no superior. We as Indians are suffering from the inferiority complex. I believe, inferiority complex has its own advantages as the superiority complex has disadvantageous.

Now Indian politics are controlled by (given control to) an Italian borne person. Both the PM and President are from Minority. This is only a technical analysis. If any one thinks that PM is Sardarji and the president is a Muslim, he must be a stupid. Average Indian is not bothered whether one is Muslim or Sikh, he looks at his personality. But the mass psychology goes against, with a slightest provocation. We did not progress one inch .Ghandiji would even continue to fast till today.

Many are migrating to out side. This has created buoyancy. Average Indian wants educated their children and sends to far lands (Phoran). Migrating is no more a brain drain. It is a search for opportunities. Large money could be sent home.

Politics is a fulltime business so does the preachers at temples. Indian philosophy is less understood. Dunkers are considered as sophisticated. Vulgarity entered in to the drawing rooms of the middle class, back bone of the Indian culture. Mothers and grand mothers are eager to make their off springs Miss Universe and Miss World. Religious heads are interested to improve their star clientale.

What is the definition of moving forward? Construction of dams, roads and buildings, finish off all the natural resources, working as global labour to produce things for the world at low cost, spoiling the nature and polluting. India is heading for disastrous in the name of development. India should send their labour or engineers to the west and America to produce things in these countries with the material of those countries. India caught up in materialistic thinking, has lost its roots. Who is responsible for this? People like us, who has migrated. NRIs became the ideals for the RI. What is destination for an average Indian? America is the destination for an average Indian. India is never a destination for Indian.

...However when they go abroad, like to Canada; they are so harsh and unforgiving to any issues or problems that exists.

..

IMO, You're looking at two sides of a coin. These view are coming from people who are reasonably well settled here, and not from ones who are recent immigrants and hence harsh & unforgiving......

Great Analysis rajuu. I agree with you 100%. Infact I would say that Rajiv Gandhi brought the change to the Indian system, unfortunately he has to pay a very heavy price.

"However when they go abroad, like to Canada; they are so harsh and unforgiving to any issues or problems that exists."

This is relative to personal experiences.
